WEEKEND AWAY

Join us:

Friday 7-Sunday 9 July 2023

Cost: £20 per person

(Years 6 and under go free. If you can pay more, please do so to minimize any costs to the church.)

Who?

We hope that every regular at Grace Church will come. Our yearly weekend away is a always a highlight in the year, and a fantastic way to get to know one-another.

Past Grace Church folk and anyone else are of course welcome too. The more the merrier.

What?

Spending time and having fun with the church family in beautiful countryside. And great Bible teaching from John Woods, previously minister of Lancing Tabernacle. John is particular thoughtful in his teaching and will help us think on how we are to live in the light of the past, the present and the future.

There will be separate teaching and activities for the children.

The bulk of the weekend will be based nearby, at Cuckfield Baptist Church, Polestub Lane, Cuckfield, RH17 5GP. We're delighted as this is a fantastic venue.

  • We hope as many as possible will join us from 5pm on Friday 7th simply to enjoy being together and have dinner, with those that would like to, camping in the church's field.

  • Saturday 8th will then be our teaching day, but with a free and fun afternoon to enjoy games, walks and a bouncy castle (kids only!). We will show a film on the big screen for children in the evening, and campers can camp this night too.

  • The church needs to be clear by 9.30am on Sunday 9th, and so we will meet that morning at Old House Farm, Rocky Lane. RH16 4RW, for breakfast and an informal celebration service with all ages together, to finish the weekend.

How do I book?

To book in, click here ????? and specify the timings of when you will be there. And to pay, please transfer the amount to our church account with reference SURNAME/WA: Sort code 30-18-30 / Account 32711360.

Although we are asking for £20 per person (with years 6 and under free), the actual cost will be at nearer £30. So if you are able to donate more to cover your full cost or help towards others please do. We want to keep costs low so that everyone can come.

Booking is important for catering purposes – so please do book as soon as possible. If the cost might prevent you from coming, please don’t let it. Rather speak to Tom Vaughan in confidence.

What will I need to bring?

If camping, tent(s) to sleep in, sleeping bags, mats/airbeds, clothes suitable for exploring the countryside. Do ask around if you need to borrow anything. If not camping, just a Bible and pen.
